I have seen this all over the place and rightly so, it is a great build, story, and execution of a vision. It is the best ad for your fabbing capabilities as you can get. Straight out though, as said, it does look snappy and difficult to drive. The last thing I am is some lotus chassis engineer, but these are my thoughts on that; The epic pic also shows how misaligned the 2 front wheels are when turned. This is a big part of your problem I reckon as when rolling as they are in the pic, they are scrubbing against each other causing resistance, the weighted wheel probably winning the fight a bit more than the other. This is surely making the rear want to come back in to straighten as this will reduce and end the resistance from the front. as far as the back knows the front brakes are on a small bit. Obviously the aim is to have the 2 wheels on a constant arc in their respective radii from the centre of the turning circle. Arb's are important too and will help once set up. What are your camber, castor and toe settings? Assuming you have good hard springs on the back, I cant really fault its setup as it is solid, light weight and small tyres, all ways of not having much 'grip'. Also the wheelbase lenght cant really be blamed, as Stavros said, there are plenty other cars with the same and shorter wheelbase lenghts perfectly able to drift. I recently saw an sr kp starlet, albeit with silvia front suspension, perfectly stable in fast 3rd gear transitions. Don't know about the rear overhang theory. Yeah in big cars like chasers and 5s there is an element of that at work. But as in the aforementioned starlet, which has fiberglass boot, plastic windows and about a foot of light quarter panel out past the wheels, I would say its not much different to your hefty rear bump bar. I know how you want it to drive, like all good jap ae86s, coming up to a corner, flick the wheel and the back flicks out. this is surley achievable, if nothing else copy a good ae86 setup Looking forward to more smoke and fire
