    wen i went to go to work thismornig my scabby old sierra was gone! so i got rite on the phone to the police and they alreddy recoverd the car, ive just had the police at my house and it turns out he was a knowen car thief and only got about 200 yards down the road untill he was caught, still dont no if its danaged im hopeing to find out today. i will update later wen i know wats happening.

    at least its been recovered quickly! hopefully without damage too... f***ing scum nowadays

    Glad you got it sorted.

    It must be hard being a car theif now though, especially if you were at your peak in the mid 90s, when there were plenty of XR3i's, Sierras, Cavaliers and all manner of fun and easy cars to steal. Nowadays it's really hard and you just get boring shit, so I guess when they see an old Ford sitting around, they want it to remind them of the good-old-days haha. I bet he was listening to a rat-pack cassette on his walkman as he jammed a screw-driver in the door.

    thanks for the commets guys, the car was at my dads mates recovery place in plymouth, he let me in while they were still fingerprinting it, the only damage is to the door wich i should be able to sort out and they dint even get to start it just rolled it down the hill it was on.

    its not back yet, i have to wait while the police clear it then it could cost me anything from £150 - £300 to get it back!!!

    no fuking way lol some scouser stole my ipod dvd payer and ps3 i has locked it in my civvi locker. he was an ex car thief theres enough there already lol

    nah no fuking way whos the real thieves there then you would have thought it would be sorted by the courts or something i dont understand why you would have to pay them

    i have to pay for the recovery, the police have given me a compensation form wich will cover it but that has to got thru small claims court so theres not much chance of getting it back

    My mate had her car nicked and the robbing gits crashed it and wrote it off. The police recovered it then charged her £115 for the pleasure. She paid them! The car was only worth £300 tops and her excess on the insurance was more then that.

    I'd have told the police to get stuffed and let them keep it as she only got £30 in scrap for it.

    I had a Scort for six weeks that was stolen as punishment for me owning a FWD!!

    I told the old bill in no uncertain terms that I would not be paying for it's recovery should it be found! Although I'd happily have the jump leads back!
