Interested to see how you get on with a 2 way in your daily auto. I'm considering the same for my 100. But, I've read that GT86 torsen diffs are a straight swap...

Had a 1.5-Way in my old MX5 years back. Was a great bit of kit, although i did go from a welded diff to that lol.

GT86, had no idea you could do that, they do look very similar though, apart from the Driveshaft flanges.
Chasers are bolted to a stub axle, the GT86 look like a conventional push in type single piece driveshaft.

Well the diff is working a treat, super happy with it at the moment, so making the arrangements to get trackside asap.

Since I'm so chuffed with the car right now, I did a few buys and got some Rays WR Caps for the Wheels to cover up the rusty Hub Nuts

    29425078_10215427780438130_8456370026752736997_n.

Along side that, Driftworks hooked me up with a nice new Nardi Steering Wheel and HKB Boss,

    29425404_10215438262100165_6699880505589783839_n.

Plus I finally got round to having the rear windows tinted :)

    IMG_0329.JPG

Just some skid rims to sort now, then I can get out and learn the Car!

Holy shite this is great, how do you find the seating position with the seat rail? Ive got a jzx90 and the exact same seat. tempted to make my own side brackets but if the bride rails are good I may just get my wallet out.

    More lifestyle mods inbound!

Nice Takata Drift II Snap-in Harness,

    tak.

I went for the Snap-in Type so I Can remove it when I need to use the rear seats.
Also fitted it with the Existing Seatbelt in place, so still have the option to use either if needs be. Although I dont think i'll be using the Harness untill I have a Roll Cage fitted.

Clocked these little Wing Mirror Rain Deflectors on a Facebook Post, thought they'd look cool on the Chaser, so ordered a pair up,

    mirr.JPG

Not bad for £3, although I did trim them down to fit properly.

I have also ordered some new Wheels, which I should see here next week :)

Turini 17 & 18 inch Anthracite road car with Cap.JPG

Went for some Speedline Type-2120 in Anthracite. Better offsets too, so should fill the arches a bit better without needing spacers.

what bride seat rail do you have? got a feeling the one I got with the car will require me to do some custom side rails -_-
and where did it come from? have you got a UK source? Cheers

The one I got is a Bride FO Type Rail (T097FO part number)
Not fixed, so can slide back and forth if needed.

I got mine through where I work, but they Retail at about £220

Wheels finally arrived and look much better in person than the generic Google images.

    29598229_10215562796413445_6339795046200435840_n.

Not as light as the Rays, but arent far off at just over 10kg per wheel.

Promptly booked a slot at A-Line Dudley to have the Tyres fitted and Wheels Balanced.

Decided to strip the Calipers and give them a nice clean & paint. Re-fitted and Bled with AP Racing Fluid before fitting the wheels on. Much better, although the front could do with some new Pads.

    30264553_10215588565457655_3576245778435211573_n.

Fitment is spot on and super happy with how she's looking. (excuse the dirty paintwork...)

    30261680_10215588565497656_8685690336419008740_n.

Our Cusco shipment landed too. So got stuck in and pulled my Strut Brace from the masses of other parts on the Pallet.

    30582419_10215606412223813_1678294248390164757_n.

Nice, Shiney and complete with Brake Cylinder Stopper to help redce any Bulkhead flex on heavy Braking :)

Well, I finally got the Car washed last night after months of neglect.

I've forgot how much I missed having a clean Car. So much so, that I have just spent a shed load on some Meguiars valeting gear and bought myself a Snow Foam Lance for the Jetwash and a big 5l bottle of Snow Foam... :D

Luckily, my colleague bought in his Camera today, so we popped out at lunch time to grab some snaps.

So the Car is off the road for a few days after taking delivery of the Front Mount Intercooler and Pipes (plus some new Oil and a Filter)

    mishi1.

The Car is all stripped down, Intercooler fits pretty much, just need to modify the Bumper support Bar and make some lower brackets to hold it all up. Thats a job for tonight...

    36872539_10216245410238364_806254104073469952_n.

Then I'll need to trim the bumper and finish plumbing it in (once my reducer pipes arrive)

Looking forward to seeing how much of a difference it will make compared to the stock unit.

So after huge amounts of bumper cutting, it finally fits, just... 37100782_10216289860509593_7476205849380126720_n.

Still some tweaking to do, and i'm still waiting for some reducers to land so I can get it plummed in, but will be done in the next few weeks :)

Got some drifting lined up in a couple of weeks time with a friend, just a private session for a few hours to give it a shakedown. Never drifted an Auto, so not sure how that will go down! lol

Back end is all stripped to make way for some spare rubber. So far we have accumulated 12x wheels with real good tires, so hopefully will be enough!

Well its been slow progress with the Intercooler install. Couple of Silicone reducers are holding me back on plumbing it in properly, so for the moment we are rocking the stock cooler whilst the Mishimoto one sits up front doing nowt...

Anywho, after finding a cheap lip on eBay for the measly sum of £9.00, I thought I would see how it fairs up...

    37917061_10216419002938073_3046705390097006592_n.

    Not bad at all! :)
A few days later, I was off to B'ham wheels for a few hours with a friend and some of his pals.

    38000381_10216425054609361_542812114490753024_n.

Thought it would be a good chance to have a go at some automatic drifting. The Car didn't disappoint and come the end of the day, I was smiling like a Cheshire Cat...

Luckily I brought the GoPro along and grabbed some footage, hope you enjoy! I'm just as much a noob at editing Videos as I am drifting!

    Small repair job for today, changing out a snapped wheel stud after the nut magically seized up at the last outing;

    rtd.

All changed now, in place of a high tensile stud and just in time for the next Drift Day this Monday.

We will be at Birmingham Wheels again for the Prodrift Academy open day, although I didnt intend on driving here again.
However, this day is local, for charity and the slot was free, so thought why the hell not for some free seat time! :)

Will hopefully have some snaps and GoPro footage uploaded at some point.
