I bought this soarer in the summer to use as a track car and have spent some time sorting out the issues it came with and making it more useable as a road car as well as a track car, I have used it at one track day where it performed faultlessly, I have not used it since and it has been stored in the garage, I’m selling it as I don’t plan on using it for the rest of the year and would rather it gets some use rather than sitting in the corner of the garage. It’s an auto that’s been converted to manual that has been done to a good standard, the engine is stock other than bolt on modifications, the turbo’s are smoking a bit but the car still boosts and runs great, it would make a great drift car with some tweaking and setting up Body is clean and straight and has been painted to a good standard, the arches have been rolled flat before painting, there is some light scratches to the paint, a scuff on the front bumper due to lowness, and some chips. Car is avalable with the white work ryver 18's or the black cheepo 17's I might end up breaking the car if there is no interest in it as a whole car, send me a pm if you are interested in any of the parts. Car is located in edinburgh, mot untill 18th january no px/swap as i have already bought another car advisorys of last mot: front discs rusty rear brake disc worn, pitted or scored, but not seriously weakened Rear discs rusty interior: that is all i have
turbos will need swapped for a good pair/reconditioned or best option go for single topmount turbo its what i was planning on doing to the car before something else came along that i fancied more
looks in good shape, i'd be planning the same single turbo for the 1j, are you sure its nothing else like valve stem seals, im located quite far away to pop up for a view
Im pretty sure its the turbo/turbos, they are a weak failure point on these engines however i have not taken it to pieces to confirm, i am happy to pick up from train staition/airport and deliver back if you dont want to buy
ok thanks i appriciate that ill have a think, is there alot of smoke, does it do it on cold start up and idle
If it's left to idle for a while it smokes a fair bit, when driven till its warmed up it clears out and only smokes a little at traffic lights etc
Still here, will listen to sensible offers for quick sale, i can take the seats out and put stock seats in to drop the price a bit as well
