Hello! Looking for a trailer but don't know much about them. My car has a max braked towing weight of 1800kg and the car I want to tow is about 1250kg. Does anyone know what I need to look out for in trailer specs to make sure I get something suitable for the above requirements? Any recommendations for any types of trailer? Thanks in advance.
Brian James make good stuff, but the whole weights and legal thing can be a nightmare, as often it can go by plated weights rather than actual weights etc etc. http://www.brianjames.co.uk/range/range_details.aspx?id=1&rid=42 IMO go for a low fixed bed trailer with long ramps. Far better to drive with with a lower CoG than a tipper and also easier to get cars on/off, especially low cars with spoilers etc. Usually cheaper than a tipper too, so win win.
