TUBE BENDER (Roll cages) Make : Baileigh Industrial Model : EW-28 (This is on the ID plate on the tube bender but if you google it, it comes up with a English wheel, but its not) Serial number : D13080114 DOM : 08/2013 This was brought on 21/1/2014 (Jan this year) I brought it direct from Baileigh themselves as their HQ is in Coventry, West Midlands, as I live there, so they are local to me. It was brought to make replacement parts for a steam heritage group, but my friend has also used it to make himself a roll cage for his car as the die's for the tube happened to be the right size, the parts have now been made so the tube bender is now no longer needed. What you get - Rotary draw bender manual ratchet mechanism stand and handle 51mm die - 180 degree die 42.2mm die - 90 degree die BDC rules state that 50mm main hoop and 42.2mm for other tubes is ok and your aloud up to 1mm material size fluctuation, so there is no need to buy any other dies, just bolt to the floor and away you go. These dies are billet dies which means that when you bend the tube it remains round and doesnt wear like a cast die will, as if you use some other benders it can crease the tube in, on the inside of the bend, meaning it can't be used in comp roll cages, the tube had to remain round for the intended work that I brought it for and this was the only manual one that did that, that I could find on the market. We used the tube bender only a few times and then it was used by my friend to make himself a roll cage and hasn't been used since (now sits on a pallet on the racking) so pretty much brand new with no wear in the ratchet etc. This tube bender does need to be bolted to the floor, I used floor bolts from Wicks but I guess you could get the same bolts from B&Q or anywhere like that. Price : £1200 Ono (Feel free to PM a offer) (These are now just under £2k new) Location : Coventry, West Midlands Postage : I will post this, it will be on a pallet so please bare this in mind Pictures: I've got pictures of the tube bender but I don't have photo bucket etc to post them on here, so PM your number if you have a iPhone and I will send some over or email if not and I will send them over to you Viewing: Viewings are welcome Contact: Mobile : 07784714916 PM me on here Any questions please get it touch Thanks
For people asking about collection and weight of it, it will be on a pallet and I have use of a forklift to put it in your van or on a trailer,
I didn't realise BDC used 42mm x 2 mm tube, what an odd size, stops you entering any other motorsport though as it has to be 1 3/4" (44.45mm x 2.5 mm), for some reason I thought 42 was only allowed in cars under 1000kilos years ago in the bluebook (MSA). Is the bender this one? Baileigh RDB-050
Yes it's the same as that, (expect it's blue not yellow) if you want pictures mate I can send some over, just let me know
Hi buddy, I'm interested... But if it's the same as the above one they retail at £600... Could you just clear that up for us please as to the exact model it is? Could do with some pics if you don't mind as well. Cheers JD - - - Updated - - - Hi buddy, I'm interested... But if it's the same as the above one they retail at £600... Says at the bottom The RDB-050 comes complete with the stand, bend handle and degree dial. Just add tooling and you are ready to bend tube. Contact a Baileigh Industrial representative for more information. Just add tooling and you are ready to bend. Gonna take that as a no it doesn't come with dies. Or it would be ridiculously cheap.
