I just have a couple of questions ragarding uprated diffs... 1) What benefit does an uprated diff have over the standard viscous diff? Am I right in thinking the locking factor means that both wheels will spin together (lock) at the same rate when enough power is applied/breaking etc? Unlike the standard diff where the inside wheel will just keep spinning and spinning like an open diff? 2) What effect will an uprated diff have on day to day driving, apart from the noise? Will I have to be more careful in the rain/entering and exiting corners etc? Will I be able to get more power down etc etc?
Rain is a little frightening when starting to over take, got to be carefull with the throttle as when car comes on boost the rear starts to slide, its all fun though!
Mine does that with the standard (rubbish) diff. The only difference should be in the dry when you won't get nasty slippage
