[TABLE="width: 100%, align: center"] [TR] [TD]for sale 5ltr v8 lincoln engine (same as in many of the mustangs) and gearbox both in very good working order when removed from a project car it was a 1987 model and low mileage for the year approx 75000 miles my dad was going to use this for one of his many american car projects but we have a big block now will be good for a v8 conversion in to an rx or something i want £450 for it plus 50 delivered also have a 350 v8 but i have to confirm details of it again is a good runner but we need to check if its a cleavland or windsor v8 (cleavland being slightly more tuned) also a good engine for conversions although atm its sat in a ford ecoline dayvan would be looking at £450 if its a windsor £550 if its a cleavland as i say il have to confim it not sure if the 3rd is for sale yet but i may also have a corvette c4 v8 for sale not sure if my dad wants it as a spare for his 'vette and interest please call on 07970669505 would be nice to see these converted in to something [/TD] [/TR] [/TABLE]
Hello Fella. ive been looking for a v8 to replace the 430 TVR engine i had in my E36. Interested in the lincoln, I assume its an auto box though? Wont have any money till next month but will keep an eye on this thread and see if they sell before i have cashmoniez. Also which way are the sumps bowled on these engines?
I shall take a few pics for you and yes pretty much most yank engines are auto unfortunatly not hard to convert though apparently
But rover V8s are shit. Thats exactly what im trying to get rid of lol. Manual V8 boxes make more money v8s in my experience, so im looking for something with a manual attached really.... Cheers anyway!
Tbh mate being small block ford engines it really wouldnt be hard to find a manual box from some of the european fords (even if it did need a small amout of mods) alot of people have done it because nearly all american stuff is auto with a few exceptions you could probably sell the auto box to buy a manual
Cheers but once you add up finding a box, flywheel, clutch etc it just prices them out of what i can afford at the moment. Cheers though!
Old ford box be about 50-150 inc bits tell you what if you do the reserch to find what fits il see if iv got one and throw that in instead of the auto box im guessing 2.8 granada ect be your best bet
Ahha its ford pattern. I wouldnt trust a type nine with that kind of torque, i managed to blow second gear out of the side of the one in my capri with a 1.6 pinto lol. MT75 wont fit and T5s are the only option really and they are silly money...
Is the 3rd 'vette engine an LS by any chance? If so and it comes up for sale, what's included with it and how much are you looking for?
