Hi all, I'm getting back into my cars after a 10 year break and I'm looking at buying a cheap daily and a little fun as I go to work or home.
Just a cheap car for the min as the rb30 laurel I spun a bearing in is still parked up.
    The 2 cheap options I have are a 2000 bmw 520 2.0 petrol or a 2004 e46 coup with a 2.5 petrol.
Just wondering if the 2 litre will have enough power with a welded diff and over inflated tyres to put a smile on my face. 4 doors are better as I have a school run every now and then.
    Thanks for advice in advance.

I'm sure it would, but the issue is the more time you spend mucking around with a daily driver the less time you'll spend sorting out the Laurel.

Ok, so I bought an e46 coupe with 2.5 engine conversion. Looks like a pretty good conversion job, nice enough power. Should be interesting.
