For sale in my eunos, its had lots of work done to it and is very rare to see a rust free example. A few very well choosen modifications have tuned this into a one-off car that turns many heads and is amazing fun to drive. MK1 1990 Mazda Eunos roadster 7 months MOT 2 months tax 100k miles, converted to MPH, but totals still read in km's Fog light added A/C fully removed Engine; 1.6 longnose engine Twin 45 webber carbs recently tuned by Sanspeed LTD (still in warentee) uprated fuel pump to work with carbs (not bodged like normal) uprated plugs uprated leads high lift cams Stainless steel 4-2-1 exhuast manifold stainless steel de-cat pipe oil catch tank sports clutch new fluids (enigne, coolant, diff, gearbox, wipers and brake) new oil filter new fuel filter 131bhp at the wheels (with dyno graph) The standard oil pressure guage reads perfect pressure hot and cold. extra fan on a button to aid cooling Chassis; Gaz coilovers (rear) with new 8kg springs Tein coilovers (front) uprated top mounts full roll cage strut braces Brakes; EBC brake pads (think they are yellow's, almost brand new on the front) interior; Fully stripped Rust proofed and repainted black/white Fibreglass driver side bucket seat Mazda speed 320mm steering wheel momo steering wheel hub small gearknob oil temp guage, oil pressure guage, water temp guage (all with senders but not plumbed in. Volt gauge new roll cage padding aftermarket pedals (very easy heel and toe) exterior; small JDM mirrors stick on number plate 13x8 SSR MKI wheels (perfect condition) Falken tyres with good tread wide arches (arches behind rolled/cut to give clearance) Satin black bonnet and flipups smoked front and rear lights I bought this car to have some summer fun in and do a few track days in. Since ownership she has been a joy to work on and also drive. Recently I have changed all fluids and given the car a full once over. The car has a stupid amount of grip on the road and track, goes well and generally embrasses much more expensive cars. Its nice and quiet for normal driving but screems when you unleash the carbs. Notes; Its is not the orignal engine (early mk1's had a couple of engine teething problems), it has been replaced with a later version engine and had lots of work done to see a very sizable increase in power but maintain reliability. The body work is not perfect, but is straight. Rust free, undersidem this is the cleanest mk1 mx5 I have seen, mainly due to it being a recent import. The roof is in very good conition with no rips, but the rear window has unfortunatly been rivited in place so doesn't look the tidiest. It is fully workable with the cage. One rear topmount has a little play in it and can sometimes knock on bumps. Suspension has had full alignment done. Front wheels could do with being balanced, but it never bothers me (just wobbles the steering wheel slightly at about 65mph) I have loads of pictures, but dont want to swap the thread; {} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} At the nurburg ring 2 weeks ago; {} Any questions just ask, I could be interested in a p/x but a cash sales is perfered. £2800 Location BS31 Bristol/Bath area
oh this is bens old one very nice would've purchased it myself if i hadn't bought a mk2 2 weeks ago, good luck sure it'll sell pretty quick.
thanks for the comments. Got a few interested in the car already so don't really want to split bits off the car, but if you make it worth my while I might
I didnt realise it was this one you had!! I was sorely tempted by it when i saw it for sale a while back (assuming thats when you bought it). Good luck with the sale man
cheers, still wanting to go sr20 in a mx5, but will buy another when the time comes. If anyone could put this advert up on mx5 forums for me that would be great, thank you.
I just liked the look of it when it was for sale!!! and it ment I could drive it over to the nurburgring rather than take the s13 that would drink fuel, kill barriers and probably deafen me! I've had it a few months too, longer than most my cars!!! I think you would be proud of her now; comprehensive service changed coilovers and gone abit lower. mopped the paintwork proper rollcage padding painted the arches quiet exhuast tweeked the carbs so it doesn't bog down anymore combined with extra back pressure. stripped more weight out rust proofed and repainted the inside black. etc etc. loads of work but well worth it!
ahh, if the situation was right, i'd probably bite your arm off!! also i'm temporarily living in Greece for work... to say im not interested would be a lie, but i dont think i'm gonna be able to make it work! I'm chuffed to hear you've had a good time with it! and even more so to see that its made it to the ring!! - thats the reason i purchaced it but it never happend!!! If we don't speak again!.... very best of luck with the sale!!! i will do all i can to promote the ad, i may even have a friend that might want it..... no promises tho!!
thanks alot, also forgot to mention this car was built in japan by the tuning company "corns" they are very well respected in the mx5 community. All engine work was done there apart from some extra tuning here and change of exhuast/manifold recently.
