Charlyguan, I'll be watching you closely on your next run... Oh, and I may give you ANOTHER ride back home when that thing finally blows up...
Nice one, keep it up geezer, this is definitely being a good thread to watch, despite no updates for over a year! lol
Thanks for the quick answer. I asked you this question because i have a good chance to buy a similar engine from a ford scorpio (like i understand, its the same engine like your's). The scorpio is from the year 1987. JEP.
Great stuff, got a Sierra 2.0 EFi Pinto with Gaz coilovers and a welded diff myself. Although mines only a GLS so I didn't get a rear ARB Impressive drifting mate, love it The new (well not so new anymore!) suspension setup you got at the front is pretty awesome, how does it compare to the standard setup? It gets rid of the ARB just wondering what body role was like? Also where did you get the Solid subframe mounts, Adjustable track control arms and compression struts from?
great work mate, unreal drifting for a pinto sierra, cant wait to see how you go with some proper power!
Yeah at the moment it does not have front antirollbar, but as the coilovers have rather hard springs(originally for cosworth), it goes quite good.No roll whatsoever. Well compared to standard is like night and day..Very precise steering and complete camber and castor adjustabiliy. Standard items are complete trash. Solid bushes I got of ebay and TCA's and Struts I got from compbrake .
good vids you fit in your car, want to see you again in a track, do you go to alcañiz the next weekend??
Love it m8! Keep at it and make it a real weapon Interested in the Adjustable TCA's etc you got for mine too, will see what funds are like after i get a cage sorted
Last weekend I was at can padro again, last track before holidays, too much sun!! Yeah I'm going to alcañiz, but only as spectator of course. Will you take part on the drifting?
ive just found this thread while looking for some cheap TCAs to get my saph driving in a straight line again after i bent my front subframe!!!! i am loving this build thread... your front suspension setup looks bad ass, i just wish i wasnt such a tramper... how did u achieve more caster angle with washers?? that i AM interested in! and the solid rear beam mounts... where did you get them from? "dont sell it or go jap".... im torn wanted to sell mine but im having toooo much fun in it for now, just gotta get it thro an MOT now :s
So, this weekend i did attend the first track day after the holydays for me. And again in Can Padro circuit. Really technical and if you fail, it can go very very wrong for the car and yourself... Some pics and vids of the day: {} {} {} I was at WOT on all the corner exits and you can see how it bogs down.Well more powers will come in the future for sure! The rear bumper got smashed after a tyre blowout And the accelerator cable split , so I had to do some "engineering" to solve it Believe it or not, but it held ok during the rest of the day!
nice sierra jou got here, hmm with airconditioner and stabilizer on the back,i can't seen 2dors whith those equipments before, p.s get some wider rims
Looking good mate! Style improving--->Pinto dying... Bin that anchor and drop the gem you've got there hiding! Oh, free bump for those wheels too
