So basically my Garrett was on order when I heard about these from OD , Supposed to be some new competition for garrett but cant find much info of any kind online yet , Does anyone hear know anything about them.

Trying to make my mind up whether to wait for them or just go with garrett

Almost all the fancy turbos Owens sell are just ones they Import from Forced Performance in the USA and sell on as their own.

FP Turbos are decent, though the advantage of that shiz to do with the Xona stuff is likely minimal, just like BB cores, and all the other gimmicky shit big money turbos have.

Compressor and turbine wheel and housing designs and sizing are 95% of turbo performance. Fancy bearings and shit are minor gimmicks on top. Fact.

True what advantage does a billet core give?

Ive sent a couple emails asking for pricing on the xona's but had no answer yet , guess that will be a big factor in comparing to the competition

Billet cores are probably lighter. The KAMAK style billet inconel ones are significantly lighter than their non-billet counterparts, which aids spool time.

    Inconel what?

He's on about cores, not turbine wheels, which will be the Inconel thing.

Inconel is to handle big heat, not lighter, no spool difference from Inconel. And TBF most turbos have Inconel turbine wheels these days, just most sellers don't mention it anymore as it's almost a given.

Billet cores are for lightness (soo slight) and flashyness. Nothing you will notice in performance.

Look at a LeMans/F1/WRC turbo, has it got a billet core? Nope. I'll let you guess why.
