    hi there,

I have intermittent problem on my RB25DET

the oil dipstick sometimes shoots out under hard load and sprays oil everywhere =/

i think its a blockage somewhere but im not loosing any noticeable amount of oil.

anyone else had this problem on their RB25? if so what was the fix you did.

I have invested in a catch tank but not 100% sure if its going to solve the issue

    Thanks

Either your breather system is blocked and/or fucked, which you really need to fix ASAP, or your piston rings are shot.

well the breather is leaking on the cam cover. my guess was its building up and blowing back through? im guessing its the breather because its really rarely happening but its becoming a mild annoyance

How is your catch can hooked up?
Do you still run a hose to the turbo intake (providing vacuum)?
And do you have the hose from the plenum to the rocker/cam cover?

Probably best to do a compression test on it first, then if that comes up ok block the line from the plenum to the rocker cover as the check valve may have failed and be allowing pressure into the head. If it's still doing it then hook up a vacuum line to the catch can to help draw the excess crank pressure out.
