Has anyone used the electro static magic powder coating stuff? I really would like to try and do bits myself due to being a fussy git and having several different cars it would make life alot easier.

I've been told I can use heat guns to cure the paint? And halogen lamps? My workshop just doesn't have room for an oven, not with all the cars in bits anyway.

Does it make a huge amount of mess? I.e when spraying a part is the powder going to go everywhere? Like a sandblaster for instance.

Also does the part have to be bare metal? As in say some wheels, could I just scuff them up and spray, like you would with 2k? Or will it only stick to bare metal?

    Isn't that stuff completely shit??

If you're doing a DIY job just use spray paint IMO.

I remember (stav I think) and a few other mags doing reviews and rating it all really highly. Just after some first hand experience really
