Nooooish. I guess with the top secret Beetle engine transplant in the R324 you won't need things as uncool as radiators :D

HEHE. This rad is slightly damaged on one side with a few crushed fins so it'll be fine for the e30.. :) Should withstand some abuse at least... I hope :p

I had a feeling this would turn into an epic project mate, as anything you get "cheap' turns into :p

    Chopped the rear springs..

I think I may have chopped a bit too much for the 16's though as this is where they sit... with the massively flared and pulled rear arch..

Its an S13 one. I've had to chop both the bottom and top sections between the lights out. I'll modify the bolt in top tube to have two mounts for the top of the rad and bolt the bottom of the rad through a tube I've welded across the bottom between the two uprights. I've had to notch the drivers side upright at the bottom to have enough room to get a hose on there. I've also had to chop the inner mount on both headlights and cut a "v" into the plastic housing to clear the top tank on the rad. The two middle mounts for the front valance will need cutting away too and some new brackets made up to hold that in place. Its a super tight fit and needs a lot of work to get it in there, but once its in its in.

I got round to doing the second rear arch today, I've been putting it off as its not a fun job and I wasn't looking forward to it. Its taken me about 3 hours to get to this point with it:

To get the lip to bend back and then the flat side section to flare out I've had to cut the inner skin away quite far up as seen in the pics below. I had to slice the inner skin and then cut the spot welds (one every inch around the lip!!) to get the lip to bend nicely. Its come out well and just needs the bead welded in now to add strength back into the flare. I'll have to stitch the inner skin back to the outer skin and tidy it all up..

Have you tried the 16's on it with tyres on? As you know, the more you lower the back, the more neg camber you get, so they SHOULD just tuck inside fine with that flare...

You think?! :wack: Plus I'll be modding the subframe to bring the camber back to something more reasonable lol.

Well I've got 0 rear camber now, and me and Mooseman just spent 3hrs rolling one rear arch to get the standard 15" bbs to fit with 205/55/15s, which do, JUST. Then again my fuel tank is now only 60mm off the floor.
