Hi guys, Great forum you have here. Just had a question that I thought some of you may be able to help me with: I'm currently teaching some of my friends to drive, and was wondering at what stage they should be at before I teach them how to drift. This might seem like a strange question, but the truth is that I've been drifting for so so long (hence my username) that I can't remember at what stage of my learning to drive I actually learned to drift! Drifting has become so intuitive to me that it seems second nature. I know that I should teach them the basics first - finding the biting point to get the car rolling, steering, braking etc etc. But how far after this would you recommend I teach them the art of the drift? As for my car, she's a 1 litre Kia Picanto with some sick modified tyres and a raised chassis to catch that perfect corner burn. One of the people I'm teaching has also asked me if there's any good reading that he can do before the lessons about drifting. If any of you could recommend any books on the art of drifting and the technical terms and techniques, I'd also be grateful! Thanks a lot in advance guys.
Hi MaccyD. Sorry that you feel that way about me trying to teach my friends to drift, but I thought you'd all be more supportive of a fellow drifter trying to spread the word of the drift. Guess I was wrong. Peace out and happy drifting. - - - Updated - - - Hi Immy21. Here is a picture of a picanto http://www.muamat.com/adpics/4cec8d923f61ba36e4dcc7091.jpg Mine is similar but got some sick mods.
pmsl, this is amazing. how to drift; 1- go to mcdonalds car park 2- shift into first, keep the clutch pressed in 3- push the gas pedal to the floor and hold it there for 20 seconds 4- dump the clutch while holding gas pedal at the floor 5- ??????? 6- profit
I just don't understand why people make the effort of creating an account and writing shitty posts like this. I'm assuming the OP's life must suck and they have nothing better to do, go get laid you little bitch
