I have an RSR manifold on my mx5, Due to it being silly low, the exhaust has hit the floor multiply times and pulled the flexi apart. I either can get a replacement flex and weld it in or get a clamp on flexi. My plan is to get a clamp on flexi this way when i take it to DWYB or local drift arena when the exhaust hits the floor it won't pull the flexi apart as it clamped on. Worst thing that will happen is it pulls the pipe out. Has anyone had experience clamping the flexi pipe onto a manifold. I have pulled the exhaust closer to the chassis to stop the chance of this happening again.

    Thanks

I'd weld it on, or weld V band fittings for a more secure fit..

I'd rather have it hitting the floor and getting fucked, than hitting the floor and falling off..

You could move the flexi upwards so it's not that hitting the floor, itll be just a bit of pipe hitting..

Don't bother with a flexi, stock manifolds don't have them, mine was ruined so instead of replacing I had it chopped it off and routed the whole downpipe above the chassis rails.
